Our story begins with a committed father and mother, Jeff and Kim Isenhour, bringing their second child into the world. It was a very risky venture with two small children, but the Isenhours always had the desire to create a business that put the customer over profit unlike similar service providers and become THE major appliance repair resource for its customers. Despite having seven years of industry experience, the Isenhours would have to start up their own company with no name recognition in the appliance repair industry, few service contacts and barely any money, all while caring for their two small children. Worse, they faced entrenched competition from larger, more established repair companies that had been operating in the market for years.
Advanced Appliance Service began operating in the Gastonia area in May of 1986, as Jeff and Kim took the risk of creating a company to serve the publics’ need for quality, dependable appliance repair at a fair market value. What started as a single technician and a mother on maternity leave, within a year turned into two technicians and a full time office receptionist. From there the company expanded its service area into Rock Hill, SC thanks to their hard working employees and satisfied customers. After eleven years, the Gastonia and Rock Hill offices were consolidated into a central headquarters on S New Hope Rd. Today, Advanced Appliance Service operates in Mecklenburg, Gaston, Lincoln, York, Cabarrus, Catawba, Iredell and Cumberland Counties and consists of 20 factory trained technicians and 8 office professionals working together to provide customers with “Service for the Future”.
